The Lens library shows you all the lenses that are available. If you are a Recruitment admin you can change the lens names that you and others see here. For instance when your organisation uses a specific lens for a specific job, you can change the name of that lens to the job title name. This would make it easier for recruiters in your organisation to find and choose the right lens.
Changing the name of the lens actually creates a new lens, with the same competencies and competency weights, but with a different name. This is so that active and completed recruitments created with the same lens remain unaffected by the new name. You cannot change the name of a lens in an active recruitment.
Creating a new lens based on an existing lens
-
Go to the Lens Maker by selecting Lens Management in the menu on the left and then choosing Lens Maker from the drop down menu.
-
Select the lens you want to copy by clicking on it.
Note that only original lenses are shown here. You cannot select to copy from a copy.
-
Edit the lens details.
Here you provide the new name of the lens and update the subtitle and description of the lens.
-
Choose the visibility of the new lens.
You can either make the lens available to everyone in your organisation, to be used in new recruitments, or hide it for now. Hiding it means that it will be hidden from the rest of the organisation. When the lens is ready to be used by the organisation, a Recruitment admin can navigate to the Lens Library and edit the visibility of the lens.
-
Click Save & Go to lens library.
If you created a new lens with the right name you should make sure that the recruiters in your organisation use this new lens. Do this by hiding the original lens from the Lens library.
