Assessio has created a test, Matrigma, which measures Intelligence based on Spearman’s theory of the g-factor and Catells notion of fluid intelligence. The test consists of matrices that require logical and spatial ability. By using this type of non-verbal test, we minimize the risk of discriminating people with dyslexia or dyscalculia. The test is adaptive which means that it adapts the difficulty of the items to the candidate's performance during the test, to find and determine the correct level of their intelligence. The result of the test is a 0-10 score (c-score) on General Mental Ability (GMA).
The test scores are based on a norm group, a large group of people that have completed the test before and whose outcomes help in determining the difficulty of each question. Even though questions may vary, all candidates receive a 1 minute time limit for each question, and a 12 minute time limit total.
The language of the instructions and test tour can be set to four languages:- Dutch
- English
- Norwegian
